What could be a
better gift than improving a woman’s relationship with her husband (or
future husband)? A fabulous preacher in North Carolina, M. David
Chambers, has written a book that can do just that. The title is “The
Best is Yet to Come” and it is getting rave reviews!
Finally, a
marriage enrichment book with the guarantee of real results!
- Lydia Humphries, Seminar Attendee
Perfect balance of wit and grit on the subject matter!
- Pastor Mike Whitt, High View
“The Holy Spirit greatly used this material in a seminar given by
Pastor Chambers, to reunite spouses in our church! I wholeheartedly
recommend this for married couples, marriage counselors, pastors,
etc!"
- Pastor Jason Holt, Crossroads
Visit his site at

reserve copies for every woman that you would like to bless this
Mother’s Day! Don’t forget to pick up a copy for yourself and then let
me know what you think.

CINCO
DE
MAYO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many people believe that Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican Independence Day
but that is not the case. Some people get so caught up in the fiestas
that they don’t remember what the celebration is for. On the 5th day
of May, in 1862, the Mexicans defeated the French army at the Battle
of Puebla. The smaller Mexican army was victorious over the more
modern and much larger French army. Commemorate this special occasion
with your own Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Now it is time to have your own Cinco de Mayo party! Start with
traditional piñatas
for the young and young at heart. Don’t forget colorful table clothes,
plates, napkins and more to make your table exciting.
Teach your guests the Mexican Hat Dance and have a contest for the
best dancer. Visit
for directions.
MMM We love Mexican food and this is the day to offer a variety of
flavors from our neighbors to the South. Keep it simple so you have
plenty of time to party yourself. Here are a few suggestions:
- Make cheese
quesadillas and use chili pepper cookie cutters to turn them into
festive shapes.
- Chili Con Queso is one of my favorites although I have never seen it
offered in Mexico it is still a party favorite. Try the Velveeta
recipe on the back of the box.
- Flan is a favorite among kids. I can’t get around the texture but
there are so many varieties to making this Mexican dessert, I am sure
you will find one that you love.
- Margaritas! A Mexican celebration is not a celebration without
margaritas. Try strawberry margaritas and don’t forget to make some
alcohol free margaritas for any younger guests.
Dear God,
In school we read that Thomas Edison made light, but in Sunday School
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE WORLD? Is Cookie Monster going on a diet?
Why is Oscar the Grouch taking a bath? Have we gone too far? Read all
the dirt or at least what is left at
and then let Sesame Street know that we love the way they teach our
