4th OF JULY
~~~~~~~~~~~
Remember when you were a little kid and you went
outside with all your cousins
to play with Black Cat firecrackers, sparklers,
and fireworks that dropped little
parachute men out of the sky? That brings
back good memories, doesn’t it? Well, in our maturity, we have found
out that those things weren’t all together safe and actually illegal
in some states. But don’t let that stop you from having a great
Independence Day and creating memories for your kids. Our huge
selection of glow and light up
novelties are just as fun AND safe.
If they are missing the pop and crackle
of the fireworks, we have patriotic noise makers! This may very well
be the one night of the year that your kids can be outside, at night,
glowing in the dark and making noise!
Even your teens will enjoy patriotic
colored band bracelets that are so popular right now. You can get into
the spirit with decorations, hats, glasses, candles, and more. …
and buy extra to save on shipping,
remember Labor Day is September 5th! Visit our 4th of July Page at
THINK ABOUT IT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in
traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day
and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry
and spend a few precious moments with her children.
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young
man who can't make change correctly at the gas station is a worried
19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final
exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next
semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum begging for money in the
same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to
addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow
through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are
savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got
back last week, this might be the last year that they go shopping
together.
Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give
us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love
with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those that are
close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to
forgive, show patience, empathy and love.
Amen

PARTY THEMES – GRADUATION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From High School and College to Kindergarten graduation, these
ceremonies mean a change in our lives and a represent all the hard
work over the years to finally reach this triumphant moment. TIME TO
CELEBRATE! Visit our party idea page at
http://www.showyourpizzazz.com/Parties/Parties.html
for creative ideas for your graduate.
Here are a few little ideas for your graduation party.
Print the invitations using a calligraphy font on your computer. Tear
off the sides off the paper and roll into a diploma and tie them into
a ribbon.
Have each child bring an item that represents their years spent trying
to make it to graduation. Place all the items in a freezer bag and
then in a box (time capsule) to be opened by the group at a set time.
For Kindergarten graduates, make it the start of the next school year.
For High School or College age, a 10 year reunion is more appropriate.
Vary the location of the time capsule for the age group as well. For
younger kids, dig a hole in the back yard and draw a map to the time
capsule. For older ones, fund a safe deposit box or just assign a
responsible person to retain the time capsule.
